Also if anyone has had success with getting seemingly incompatible configurations to work (taping up pins, disabling Jmicron onboard, changing slots, disabling Int13 etc) then
it would be very helpful if they could post their workarounds here as well...
As people add more data I will update the first post and probably get a spreadsheet going if it gets too large ;)
Hopefully this database will help prevent us wasting lots of time and money buying incompatible hardware from the outset.
Since this is the Intel Section lets stay focused on Intel 775 1156 1155 and 1366 boards from P35 onwards but feel free to post up other boards / fixes too...
PCI-E controllers only please :)

Introduction¶
These UIO RAID cards address the growing demand for increased data throughput and scalability requirement across the mid-range to enterprise-class server platforms. With the on board iButton, the AOC-USAS-S8iR supports RAID 5, 6, and 50. PCI-E SAS controller with Intel IOP348 processor Internal RAID Adapter with 8-port. Model Controller/IOP Port RAID Onboard Cache. AOC-S3616L-L16iT Broadcom SAS 3616: 16 ports, 12Gb/s per port, 16 internal, Low-profile, 240 SATA/SAS drives: IT/HBA Mode.
The aacraid driver adds support for Adaptec (http://www.adaptec.com)RAID controllers. This is a major rewrite from the originalAdaptec supplied driver. It has significantly cleaned up both the codeand the running binary size (the module is less than half the size ofthe original).
